I’m in the US and we had Thanksgiving last week, and I took some time off to visit some out of state family. I did take my laptop, of course, but we stayed pretty busy so I didn’t get any work done. Which is fine, we all need some down time once in a while.
But vacation is over and I’m back to working on Anivenge. My tasks for the next week or two are to add a new hazard (a bomb!) as well as a new level music track. I’m also starting to really focus on marketing, starting with cleaning up my Steam page and maybe even improving the layout of this site.
I’m also starting the process of getting it set up for Android devices. For mobile the game will be free to play with an option of paying a few dollars to remove ads. I wish I didn’t have to deal with monetization at all, but if I want to continue making games, or even making better games, I have to eventually make enough money to quit the day job. Still, I plan to find the balance between making a living and being obnoxious.
